Harriet Matthews

Harriet Matthews (founder and current board president of PCT) is originally from Columbus, MS, but she has been a resident of Pearl for 48 years, so she considers herself a native. She taught in the Pearl Public School District for 35 years, 31 of which were at Pearl High School, where she was the director of the theatre program and founder and sponsor of Thespian group 4537. In 2018, she was inducted into the Educational Theatre Hall of Fame. In 2020, Harriet and Erick Weeks worked to organize and establish Pearl Community Theatre with help from Mayor Jake Windham and the City of Pearl Board of Aldermen. Since then, she has served as the artistic director and is currently serving as board president. She has two sons, Russ and Brad (Courtney), and two fabulous granddaughters, Maddie and Rachel, who love theatre as much as their “Noonie” does.

Shamera Brumfield

Shamera Brumfield has served on the Pearl Community Theatre Board since November 2021. Throughout this time, she has made contributions to various committees and leadership roles. She previously served as Finance Chair and currently serves as Vice-President and Archivist/Historian. Her involvement with PCT has also included producing three productions, stage managing a show, performing in a one-act play, and co-writing the theatre’s upcoming murder mystery. Away from the theatre, Shamera is a wife, a mother of four, a youth services librarian, a Junior Auxiliary life member, and a graduate student pursuing a Master of Library and Information Science along with graduate certificates in Archival and Special Collections and Youth Services. She enjoys reading, history, and supporting the arts in her community.

Sasha Clark

Sasha Clark is a Pearl girl through and through and a passionate theatre artist dedicated to her community. A 2008 graduate of Pearl High School, she holds an Associate’s degree from Hinds Community College and a B.A. in Theatre with an emphasis in Production from Belhaven University. With nearly 20 years of theatre experience and almost 50 productions under her belt, Sasha has worked as a stage manager, director, and designer in various areas of theatre production. Sasha has a deep love for theatre education and creating opportunities for artists of all ages. She is passionate about growing Pearl Community Theatre and bringing new theatrical experiences to the community she loves. Outside of theatre, Sasha is a wife and proud mom of three beautiful girls.

Originally from Forest, MS, Kris has long enjoyed theatrical productions from the audience, but in 2026, she made the leap to step onto the stage herself—beginning with a 24-hour play festival with Fondren Theatre Workshop. Since then, she has performed in two Pearl Community Theatre productions and lent a hand behind the scenes on two others. Now proud to call Pearl home, Kris is dedicated to learning, growing, and serving the PCT community both on and off the stage.
